Bird’s Underwater offers two nightly rental houses when you visit us to swim with manatees in Citrus County, FL. One of our Florida waterfront property rentals is located on the Homosassa River near the famous Blue Waters, and the other is located on the Halls River. Whether you are visiting for a manatee tour, scalloping excursion, or scuba diving instruction, our rental properties are perfect for you and your family.
Both Properties Have Convenient Locations
Both of our Florida waterfront property rentals are conveniently located to Nature Coast attractions such as golf, horseback riding, the Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Parts, and are only an hour and a half away from Disney, Sea World, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, and Busch Gardens. After a long day of swimming with manatees in Crystal River, you can clean up at our property and hit one of the parks.

If you are visiting to swim with manatees in Citrus County, FL, our rental properties are a great place to relax with the whole family. Both homes come equipped with kayaks, BBQ grills, fire pits, microwaves, cable TV, and high-speed internet. Each property has a fully equipped kitchen, and all linens are fresh and clean when you arrive. Each property is conveniently located near our Diver Shop, so you will not have to travel far to begin swimming with manatees in Crystal River.
Hall’s River
Clean, spacious, waterfront house. Your back porch overlooks a canal and peaceful woods. There is a dock and outdoor fireplace. Sit-on-top kayaks are included. Paddle the pristine waters of the Halls River. The area is adjacent to Federal Bird Wildlife Sanctuary. Halls River connects to Homosassa River, the winter home of the manatees. You can fish right off the dock.
The house boasts a large living room area with cathedral ceiling. Open kitchen with divider bar and sliding-glass doors to back porch create spacious gathering area. Pets are NOT allowed, No Smoking.
The house is located off Highway 19 between Crystal River and Homosassa. Home owned by Birds Underwater.

Occupancy
The above rates are for up to 2 adults and 2 children. Additional people are accepted for $10 per person per night. 7 person maximum occupancy in this house.
Homosassa River (Fishbowl House)
Clean, newly remodeled house on a canal right off the famous Blue Waters are of Homosassa River. Two docks and sit-on-top kayaks are included. There is a BBQ grill, fire pit, and fully stocked house with all linens and kitchen utensils. We require a two night minimum stay. Our screened-in back porch overlooks the water and a yard with banana, orange, grapefruit, and fig trees.
Paddle to the clear fresh waters of Homosassa River outside of Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. Manatees gather 300 yards from house to winter in 72-degree water. You may swim with manatees. House owned by Bird’s Underwater Dive Center, who will rent you necessary snorkel gear and explain rules of engagement with manatees.
Great swimming in summer. Great fishing. Walk to state park two blocks away to view manatees and other indigenous animals.

5 Acres of wilderness surround this simple block house, clean, only 10 years old, large deck set up for your vacation. Owned by Bird’s Underwater Dive Center in Crystal River, home of swim with manatees tours, this is our 3rd listing in one of our favorite playgrounds. Ginnie Springs Resort is only 12 miles away a 200 plus acre park along the Sante Fe River. Ichnetucknee Springs Park, Manatee Springs State Park, Little River Springs and many other public access sites within 20 miles. This is cave diving country, but awesome for snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, an absolute nature get-away but only 40 minutes from Gainesville and 30 min. to Lake City. This large concentration of Florida Spring sites is unique to central Florida. 72 degrees all year around, there are many public access sites that make this get-a-way a nature experience. House is located off of County Road 138th, 2.3 miles down a county maintained dirt road which ends at a small public park. Fish and Wildlife manages thousands of acres to the west, and down river you will see untamed State Forests.We have two light weight kayaks at the rental unit for your use, but you will have to carry or transport them on your car a distance of 2 blocks. In the evening you will hear the owls, coyotes, and deer. There is no limit to the stars.
