END OF THE OFFICIAL MANATEE SEASON
Manatee Sanctuaries were taken down on March 31st according to the designated “Manatee Season” months of November 15th – March 31st. Spring certainly came early this year, although we have had cold snaps stay with us until mid April in the past. We are still sighting manatees daily, but the count is very low. DO NOT expect winter conditions. Finding a playful manatee, or manatees in clear water is a treat, and should not be an expectation. Three Sisters Springs is currently open for swimming and kayaking. IMPROVED MANATEE TOUR CONDITIONS
We’re getting what might be our last series of cooler night time temperatures, so right now might be the best time to head out for a tour. Saturday through Wednesday look especially good.
It is possible that we’ll get another cool spell, but we don’t have one predicted at present. We’ve been finding manatee every day and all our customers are having a very nice time.
